Plockton Area
The plan for this weekend is to base ourselves in Plockton and spend the 2 days exploring the coastline and Islands of the Inner Sound.
This area is rich in wildlife and stunning scenery, with the Isle of Skye, providing a spectacular backdrop, and the ruggedness of the Applecross Peninsula close by.
Plockton is a lovely conservation village, and has some great restaurants and numerous accommodation options.
Lothian Coast
The plan for this weekend is to run 2 day trips. Weather permitting we hope to visit the Islands off the Inner Forth, including Inchcolm Island home to Inchcolm Abbey.
Although a busy shipping area the Inner Forth is also rich in wildlife, with seals and porpoises often spotted. There are great views of the city whilst paddling, and the Forth Rail Bridge offers a great backdrop.
River Exploration, Speyside
The plan for this weekend is to base ourselves in the Spey Valley and run 2 day trips. We would hope to run day 1 on the Spey and day 2 on the Findhorn. These are both stunning rivers and at this time of year are resplendent in their autumn colours.
We will use duckies to make our journey down the river, these inflatable craft are ideal for this as they are easy to maneuver, safe and fun.
Dolphin Spotting (Moray Coast)
The plan for this weekend is to run 2 day trips on the Moray Firth. This area is rich in wildlife, and if lucky we may get a sighting of the resident dolphin population which are regularly spotted off Chanonry point.
As well as looking out for wildlife, we also intend introducing kayaking skills throughout the weekend, so this would be an ideal course for anyone looking for an introduction to sea kayaking.
