Knoydart Area
Although part of the mainland, the Knoydart peninsula is renowned for its remoteness. There is no road access and the best way to get there is by boat.
We plan to meet up at Mallaig on the Saturday morning, and after loading our kayaks with our camping equipment we will make our way round to Loch Nevis. We will find a remote campsite for our first night at the head of Loch nevis. Our next campsite will be at the beach at Inverie which allows us easy access to the Old Forge, reputably the remotest pub in the UK.
Orkney Trip
The plan for this 5 day trip is to base ourselves centrally on the Island and run a series of day trips exploring Orkney's stunning landscape.
Orkney's rich wildlife and stunning scenery has plenty to offer the sea kayaker. We will plan our paddling to make the most of the prevailing weather forecast.
This trip would be suitable for returning clients or those with previous kayaking experience.
Summer Isles
This is an excellent location for sea kayaking and we plan to make this trip a 3 day camping expedition starting from Achiltibuie on the Saturday morning.
The Summer Isles offers us a beautiful archipelago with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, white sandy beaches and remote coastlines for us to explore.
We will keep our daily paddling plan flexible to allow us to make the most of the prevailing weather
Dolphin Spotting (Moray Coast)
The plan for this weekend is to run 2 day trips on the Moray Firth. This area is rich in wildlife, and if lucky we may get a sighting of the resident dolphin population which are regularly spotted off Chanonry point.
As well as looking out for wildlife, we also intend introducing kayaking skills throughout the weekend, so this would be an ideal course for anyone looking for an introduction to sea kayaking.
